You gain body fat because you weren&#8217;t eating or drinking in moderation so in order to reverse that situation you also need to plan your weight loss programs so that eating or exercising that is involved with that program is also done in moderation.</p>
<p>Excessive exercising for somebody who hasn&#8217;t done much in the past can result in injury and that injury can make you less mobile and increase the opportunity to gain body fat.</p>
<p>Sudden changes in diet will send the body into reactionary mode storing fat. Gradual changes to your diet on the other hand done in moderation will not send signals to the body that is a starving and in fact you won&#8217;t feel as though you are starving either if you do it in moderation.</p>
<p>Making moderate changes to your food and exercise won&#8217;t infringe on your lifestyle anywhere near as much and that will in effect make it a lot easier for you to maintain the changes for a lot longer until they become second nature.</p>
<p>This is when you will get to the stage where you can gradually keep reducing the body fat and become healthier and healthier and more energetic as time goes on.</p>
<p>Even your intake or water has to be in moderation because drinking excessive water can flush out important nutrients from your system doing more harm than good.</p>
<p>You are better drinking a glass of water here and there throughout the day rather than trying to drink gallons of water in the hope that it will help you to lose weight faster.</p>
<p>Even good foods need to be eaten in moderation as excessive quantities of these foods can still cause the body to store them as fat.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a simple rule to follow really; if you are eating drinking or exercising too much or too little you are unlikely to get optimum results.</p>

There are many people who are trying to gain muscle weight and not to loose it. Recent studies show that at least 35% of the population is constantly trying to gain weight. There are different reasons why some people actually want to put on weight. There could be a drastic weight loss due to some medical problem like gastrointestinal problems or hormonal problem. For some people the problem could be fast metabolism because of which they loose lot of weight and are naturally thinner than required or could be a malnourishment instance during infancy and childhood. It could so be athletes who are trying to increase weight. What ever could be the reason, first one need to decide what type of life style one is leading and the requirement and based on this one could plan on a detailed dietary program.</p>
<p>Let’s look at the dietary inclusions in order to increase the body weight. One needs to spend good amount of time for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also need to spend time on snacks in between. This kind of a schedule combined with proper exercise would force in increasing body weight. Proteins are the primary food element of every meal. <p>One of the most, if not the most, difficult condition to deal with in gardening is the phenomenon known as severe drought. It is so frustrating to cultivate soil which cannot retain adequate amount of water, or which receives poor supply of water. It is a rather tough challenge to resolve the problem as water efficiency is the primary requirement you must have in order to attain a blooming garden. <p>The first thing you need to do is examine the soil in you garden. Ordinary soil tends to absorb water fast and the tendency is that there will be a need for you to water it all too frequently. To address this, you have to put compost in your soil. The compost will help retain the water longer and will actually help your plants grow healthy.</p>

<p>When you are preparing for an elk hunting trip, it helps to get into the right mindset. When you get your mind in the right place the hunt is far more rewarding and usually more successful. If you are from a region that is at or below sea level (often called a lowlander by the locals) you may not be accustomed to the thinner air and steep mountains. You need to be ready for the mental and physical requirements of elk trips.</p>
<p>Real elk hunting means actually getting out there and tracking the animal. You will climb over mountain and through canyons. You will track the elk on foot through wooded areas and clearings, up steep buttes and through deep valleys. You follow tracks, look for droppings and even think like an elk. If you want to be a successful hunter, you have to anticipate which way they are going to go. Keeping your focus on the ground can cause you to miss out on a good kill.</p>
<p>Before the Hunt</p>
<p>Before you go on the hunt, learn a little about the area you will be hunting. Elk hunting is very physical and demanding. It helps to know the lay of the land. If you can walk the area beforehand, that is even better. Become familiar with the land if you can and get to know where the elk like to bed down, where they like to sun, where they prefer to eat, the location of their watering hole, anything that you can learn that will help make your tracking easier.</p>
<p>It also doesn’t hurt to prepare physically. Cardio exercise will help your body handle the thinner air of higher elevations. You will be doing a lot of walking, so exercises that increase your stamina will help too.</p>
<p>Tracks</p>
<p>When you are tracking elk, probably the first thing you will look for are the tracks. You can identify an elk track by its size and shape. The hoof is cloven and looks like a dairy cow or deer. The main difference, though, is that the bull elk track is about four inches long or longer and it is wider. Also, when elk walk, they step in or very close to their front tracks with their back hooves. The thing is, if your mind isn’t in the right place, you are likely to miss a good set of tracks. You have to be aware of what is on the ground and what is around you at all times.</p>
<p>Droppings</p>
<p>The droppings are a sure sign of elk. When you are elk hunting for bulls, look for droppings that are in a pile as opposed to scattered. Cows tend to scatter their droppings while bulls leave it in a pile. This is not for the squeamish. If your mind is on the hunt, you have to be prepared to check the droppings to see if they are fresh (warm). And how do you do that? You feel a pellet with your bare hands. Get in that hunter mindset and it won’t be a problem.</p>
<p>Think like an Elk</p>
<p>Always be prepared. You never know when you are going to round a bend and come face to face with a prize bull elk. Always be ready because things can happen quickly and you could miss a great shot.</p>
<p>When you start out, often it will be before day break so that you can find a butte or area to settle in to and wait for the sun to rise. Thinking like an elk will help you find a good spot so that you can catch the herd on their way to feed or to bask in the early morning sun to keep warm.</p>
<p>As you are tracking, you may lose the ground tracks. In that case, you need to be able to continue the tracking by thinking like an elk. Keep a sharp eye for likely areas that they will bed down or places they may be drawn to for feeding.</p>
<p>If you have your mind on the hunt, your elk hunting mindset will bag you that prize bull.</p>

<p>Christmas dinner is a tradition in many countries. Families and friends get together to share a meal and have some fun. This year, if you are hosting the Christmas dinner, try a new approach to the meal. Turn it into a potluck Christmas dinner.</p>
<p>Potluck is an old term dating back a few centuries. It is a meal brought to a gathering to be shared with others. This is exactly what you will be doing with a Christmas potluck dinner. In centuries past, potluck meals used whatever was available but here, we want a bit fancier fare for our dinner menu.</p>
<p>First, the guests can come together to decide what type of menu you are looking to serve. Don’t worry if schedules are too tight for a family meeting. Use email, text messaging, and good old Ma Bell to straighten out the Christmas dinner menu. </p>
<p>Setting a menu in advance avoids everyone bringing a dessert and no side dishes for the Christmas dinner meal. A true potluck would involve everyone bringing something of their choice, but for variety’s sake, make a list first. As each household chimes in on what they will bring, add it to a list and send it out. We want to avoid duplicates if we can.</p>
<p>The main course of turkey or ham or what have you can be cooked at the host home. It proves easier to have the turkey already on site as opposed to transporting him all around town. Another family member can purchase the turkey and come over to cook it at the host home for the Christmas dinner.</p>
<p>You’ll need a place to set up the Christmas dinner choices. Most potluck meals are served buffet style so everyone gets exactly what they want to eat. Depending on the number of Christmas dinner guests, you may need a table or two set up for the menu items.</p>
<p>Place cards next to each dish explaining what it is. Most will be self explanatory but the place cards do help for kids and non-traditional meals. Label the desserts as well.</p>
<p>The dining room table can be set as usual for a potluck Christmas dinner. After the blessing, everyone can form a line to get their food.  Ask the dish maker to bring their own utensils for serving so you don’t have to use all of yours. Afterwards, everyone takes their own dish home to wash.</p>
<p>A potluck Christmas dinner saves time and money. Each dinner guest is responsible for a portion of the meal so no one has to do all of the preparation.</p>

<p>Sometimes we get sick, and sometimes it&#8217;s our kids that get sick, either way it is difficult enough to take care of ourselves and the kids without having to run to the doctors and the pharmacy on top of it. With that in mind, it might be a good idea to turn to our kitchens first to see what we can do for ourselves when we are feeling under the weather. </p>
<p>One item that most kitchen pantries have is honey. Raw or natural honey is best and it is great for your health. You can use it for coughs, infertility, allergies, and other many other ailments. In fact many in the natural remedy field recommend using honey everyday as a supplement to your diet; it helps your immune system and keeps you well. There is nothing better than a little preventive medicine right? </p>
<p>Apple cider vinegar is good for many sicknesses and illnesses. If you are sick it is helpful to restore your ph balance, and it helps your immune system. You will also want to add this to your everyday diet as it is helpful in several ways to your body. Make sure you buy organic apple cider vinegar to get the most benefits out of your purchase. </p>
<p>Another common ailment is constipation, and it can be quite painful and uncomfortable. There are two ways you can work with constipation. You can purchase karo syrup and take a teaspoon of this, or you can drink some prune juice. The karo syrup is also used for infants that are constipated. Either of these methods will help adults who constipation. In the future drink a lot of water with the fiber you consume. Getting lots of fiber from green leafy veggies daily will help too.</p>
<p>For the little ones at home they often get diaper rashes. These can pop up from being in the diaper too long, being allergic to chemicals in disposable diapers, having too much juice, or their body&#8217;s disagreeing with what they have eaten. </p>
<p>In any of these cases a good home remedy to use is corn starch. Corn starch is much like powder but without the scent. It is very dry and helps keep the rash and any sores dry. It can begin to heal the baby&#8217;s skin in little to no time. The cost is nominal for the amount of times you can use it, and the comfort it brings to baby&#8217;s bottom and mommy&#8217;s ears. </p>
<p>There is a nice plant you can keep around your house for cuts and scrapes. It is called an Aloe plant and it is absolutely a great investment. When your child (or you) get cut all you have to do is break off a little piece of the end of the plant and use the oozing ointment on the cuts. It is also good for sun burn, as it is in most commercial products that treat sunburn. </p>
<p>Another home remedy you can use is for colds and flu. Fruits have a lot of vitamin C in them and this vitamin helps to get rid of these illnesses. Invest in a juicer and drink a lot of juice and eat a lot of fruits to decrease your time being sick. </p>

<p>If  there is a hand that acts like the mythical sirens of The Odyssey, appearing<br />
beautiful  but  luring  beginner  poker  players  closer  and  closer  to  their<br />
destruction,  that  dubious  distinction  would  have  to  go  to  the  gut shot<br />
straight.  A  straight  is  a strong hand that usually promises a large pay-off,<br />
but  chasing  a  gut  shot straight is one of the worst possible moves any poker<br />
player  can  make!  A gut shot straight is a straight in which you need one card<br />
right  in  the  middle,  or  &#8220;gut&#8221;  to  complete the hand. Even players who know<br />
better  often  fall too far into a pot chasing a hand that they know they should<br />
not  chase.  Why  is this hand so terrible, and if it so terrible, why do people<br />
still  fall for it? This article will contain all you need to know about the gut<br />
shot straight.</p>
<p>You  hold 7-9 off suit and the flop is 6-10-Q. One person bets, the next raises.<br />
What  should you do? Run. Yes, an 8 gives you a straight, and one that is rather<br />
hard  to  make  out  by staring at the board. This is sometimes referred to as a<br />
&#8220;hidden  straight&#8221;  because it is possible, but since it is unlinked it does not<br />
look  obvious  at first glance of the board. This makes it tempting to call just<br />
to  see  one  more  card,  and then to call any re-raise just on that off chance<br />
that  you  strike  it  big  and sweep the pot. That is the temptation of the gut<br />
shot  straight,  the &#8220;What if?&#8221; effect. Before you fall for it, though, consider<br />
some of the numbers.</p>
<p>I will have you know that the numbers simply aren’t  in  your  favor  in  this  case.  Sure, you will get paid off if you hit your<br />
straight,  but  I  hear that the lottery is paying well, too. Poker, at its most<br />
basic  form,  is  about being able to maximize your odds and minimize your risk.<br />
If you can’t  do  these  things,  then you are sunk from the very beginning. When you chase<br />
after  the  8  that  is represented in the previous example, you are looking for<br />
any  of  four  cards out of the deck. Four cards out of a possible 47 cards will<br />
give you the winning hand. Those odds, just better than 12:1, aren’t very good. </p>
<p>Think  of  it  in terms of pot odds. The chance of you hitting that hand is very<br />
remote.  Still,  you will have to put a good bit of money in the pot in order to<br />
see the next card. Chances are you will have to pay much more than 1/12thof  the  pot. If the situation ever does arise that you are required to pay less<br />
than 1/12thof  the pot in order to chase after the inside straight, then do it. Those times<br />
will  be  rare, though. You should count on having to pay a pretty penny to look<br />
at  cards  in  those  situations. The people who are going to be betting against<br />
you don’t  want  the  8  to hit in that situation, so they are looking to get you out of<br />
the hand.</p>

<p>Is your child suffering from not spending enough time in nature? Richard Louv, author of Last Child In The Woods: Saving Our Children From Nature-Deficit Disorder, asserts that many modern children do. In fact, other medical and mental health experts and a growing body of researchers are also concerned about how little time our children are spending in the great outdoors. Why should parents be aware of this? What are some of the problems that result from nature deficit and what can we do to prevent it in our children? </p>
<p>First let&#8217;s define the problem. As Louv sees it, when our kids spend less time in natural environments, the results are what we&#8217;re seeing more and more of in recent years: weight issues in children, attention problems, depression, anxiety and stress. According to Louv, anecdotal evidence as well as several studies point to a connection between the increasing amount of time our kids spend indoors doing more sedentary activities, and emotional, health and social problems. </p>
<p>To be fair, many parents are justifiably concerned about safety. But this comes at a price. Many of us who are parents today remember spending much of our own childhoods out of doors, even in less than perfect weather! Long walks through the woods with friends, bike rides through the neighborhood feeling the wind in our hair, day dreaming for hours on the tire swing under the tree, these were the stuff memories were made of. Our kids today are often shuttled from one activity to another, most of these taking place in structured environments, and many of them indoors. What are our kids missing out on?</p>
<p>The research points to several things. One is that spending time in nature can help relieve stress. It also helps kids focus more. One study conducted by the University of Illinois found that children with attention problems can focus better after outdoor activities. Other studies point to increased cognitive ability among kids who have access to natural settings and display fewer attention lapses (such as interrupting, not listening and distraction). Also important are the findings that unstructured play (the kind that takes place when kids roam the great outdoors) leads to enhanced emotional and social development. They get better at problem solving and getting along with other kids. Not to be discounted is the fact any Mom can testify to: that getting the kids outdoors makes them calmer, helps them eat better as well as sleep better!</p>
<p>So how do we make sure our kids are getting enough time outside, especially if we don&#8217;t live in a rural area? One way is to structure recreation around nature. Spending time in parks, taking walks on nature trails, hiking, mountain climbing, visiting lakes, rivers and beaches and picnics outdoors are some ideas. Even in urban areas you probably have access to city parks and botanical gardens. Build a treehouse in your backyard if you can. Encourage your kids to go outside and play as much as possible. Make it mandatory if they don&#8217;t seem to enjoy it at first. Like eating vegetables, they often will start to love it with time. If it&#8217;s not safe for your kids to play outside without supervision, then spend time outside with them. Go for walks outside as a family. Eat some of your meals outdoors if weather permits. Involve the kids in outdoor chores like yard work or hanging laundry. The benefits will likely be obvious to you after a period of time and are worth the extra effort.</p>
